The 2011 directory recorded Bassi Pathana, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bassi Pathana community development block and has its own gram panchayat. Population and households

The 2011 census counted 919 people in Raily: 494 men and 425 women, living in 164 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
