Where is jang?

jang is a village of Guru Harsahai tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Guru Har Sahai, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Mamdot community development block and is served by the Jang gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034777, and it covers 501 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,439 people in jang: 744 men and 695 women, living in 267 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household.
