Pojoke Hithar is a village in Firozpur tehsil of Ferozepur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Firozpur, about 21 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Mamdot community development block and is served by the Pojo Ke Uttar gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034701, and it covers 222 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 366 people in Pojoke Hithar: 187 men and 179 women, living in 73 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 222 hectares, the population density works out to about 165 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 957 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 50, about 14 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 279 people, about 76 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 56.01 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 61.78 per cent and women at 50.31 per cent. The census recorded 89 workers, about 24 per cent of the village. Of the 79 main workers, the largest group, 40, were agricultural labourers, ahead of 23 cultivators on their own land and 10 other workers in trade, transport and services.
