The village falls in the Mamdot community development block and is served by the Sham Singh Wala gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034781, and it covers 261 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 693 people in Sham Singhwala: 353 men and 340 women, living in 131 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 261 hectares, the population density works out to about 266 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 963 women for every 1,000 men.
