Where is Sultanwala?

Sultanwala is a village of Firozpur tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Firozpur, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Firozpur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034553, and it covers 47 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 838 people in Sultanwala: 441 men and 397 women, living in 168 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 47 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,783 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 900 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 129, about 15 per cent of the village.
