Where is Argowal?

Argowal is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunga community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030832, and it covers 387 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,082 people in Argowal: 1,070 men and 1,012 women, living in 489 households, an average of about 4.3 people per household. Spread over its 387 hectares, the population density works out to about 538 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 946 women for every 1,000 men.
