Jhambowal is a village in Dasua tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunga community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030883, and it covers 132 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 713 people in Jhambowal: 376 men and 337 women, living in 133 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 132 hectares, the population density works out to about 540 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 896 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 96, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 408 people, about 57 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
