Where is Khakhli?

Khakhli is a village in Hoshiarpur tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Hoshiarpur, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hoshiarpur-I community development block and is served by the Bagpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031580, and it covers 120 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 255 people in Khakhli: 140 men and 115 women, living in 47 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 120 hectares, the population density works out to about 212 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 821 women for every 1,000 men.
