Pandori Khangurian is a village of Hoshiarpur tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Hoshiarpur, about 21 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hoshiarpur-I community development block and is served by the Pandori--Khangurian gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031690, and it covers 162 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,133 people in Pandori Khangurian: 572 men and 561 women, living in 256 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 162 hectares, the population density works out to about 699 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 981 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 116, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 530 people, about 47 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 86.73 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 91.7 per cent and women at 81.8 per cent. The census recorded 287 workers, about 25 per cent of the village. Of the 250 main workers, the largest group, 135, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 102 cultivators on their own land and 9 agricultural labourers. A further 37 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
