It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Jalandhar, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Jalandhar (East) community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030255, and it covers 373 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,040 people in Bambianwali: 1,039 men and 1,001 women, living in 414 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 373 hectares, the population density works out to about 547 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 963 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 194, about 10 per cent of the village.
