It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Adampur, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. Population and households

The 2011 census counted 367 people in Chhatowali: 192 men and 175 women, living in 78 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
