The village falls in the Nurmahal community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030058, and it covers 447 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 3,147 people in Kandola Kalan: 1,618 men and 1,529 women, living in 665 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 447 hectares, the population density works out to about 704 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 945 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 284, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,488 people, about 47 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
