Bagrian is a village of Bhulath tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bhulath, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nadala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029083, and it covers 231 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,205 people in Bagrian: 600 men and 605 women, living in 240 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 231 hectares, the population density works out to about 522 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1008 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 109, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 366 people, about 30 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 77.01 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 78.45 per cent and women at 75.66 per cent. The census recorded 332 workers, about 28 per cent of the village.
