Gosal is a village of Kapurthala tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kapurthala, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kapurthala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029267, and it covers 99 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 451 people in Gosal: 240 men and 211 women, living in 96 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
