Nangal Lubana is a village in Bhulath tehsil of Kapurthala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Begowal, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nadala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029047, and it covers 173 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,318 people in Nangal Lubana: 2,192 men and 2,126 women, living in 958 households, an average of about 4.5 people per household. Spread over its 173 hectares, the population density works out to about 2,496 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 970 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 456, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 187 people, about 4 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 83.2 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 89.48 per cent and women at 76.93 per cent. The census recorded 1,047 workers, about 24 per cent of the village. Of the 863 main workers, the largest group, 419, were cultivators on their own land, ahead of 378 other workers in trade, transport and services and 49 agricultural labourers. A further 184 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
