Raipur Araian is a village of Bhulath tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bhulath, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nadala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028995, and it covers 203 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,239 people in Raipur Araian: 1,114 men and 1,125 women, living in 492 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 203 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,103 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1010 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 230, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 260 people, about 12 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
