Bhoda is a village of Ludhiana East tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Ludhiana, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ludhiana-II community development block and is served by the Kakka gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033487, and it covers 19 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 665 people in Bhoda: 341 men and 324 women, living in 133 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 19 hectares, the population density works out to about 3,500 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 950 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 144, about 22 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 180 people, about 27 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 76.01 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 82.78 per cent and women at 68.55 per cent. The census recorded 186 workers, about 28 per cent of the village.
