Where is Gaunsgarh?

Gaunsgarh is a village in Samrala tehsil of Ludhiana district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and is served by the Mand Gaunsgarh gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032998, and it covers 75 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 192 people in Gaunsgarh: 95 men and 97 women, living in 33 households, an average of about 5.8 people per household.
