Kotpanech is a village of Khanna tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Doraha, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 974 people in Kotpanech: 520 men and 454 women, living in 204 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household.
