Adampal is a village in Malerkotla tehsil of Malerkotla district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Malerkotla, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Malerkotla-II community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039554, and it covers 300 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,610 people in Adampal: 850 men and 760 women, living in 294 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 300 hectares, the population density works out to about 537 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 894 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 196, about 12 per cent of the village.
