Where is Bahadarwala?

Bahadarwala is a village in Dharamkot tehsil of Moga district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Dharamkot, about 20 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dharamkot community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034210, and it covers 104 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 350 people in Bahadarwala: 176 men and 174 women, living in 65 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 104 hectares, the population density works out to about 335 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 989 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 47, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 59 people, about 17 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Irrigation came mainly from wells and tube-wells (92 hectares). About 13 hectares were under non-agricultural uses such as the village settlement, roads and ponds.
