Aima Chahngan is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Pathankot community development block and is served by the Aima Chahugan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027487, and it covers 31 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 346 people in Aima Chahngan: 188 men and 158 women, living in 82 households, an average of about 4.2 people per household. Spread over its 31 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,116 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 840 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 44, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 67 people, about 19 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
