Where is Khoba?

Khoba is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Pathankot community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027546, and it covers 83 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,030 people in Khoba: 542 men and 488 women, living in 200 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 83 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,241 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 900 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 142, about 14 per cent of the village.
