Bathoi Khurd is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sanaur, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sanaur community development block and is served by the Bathoi--Khurd gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036659, and it covers 419 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,183 people in Bathoi Khurd: 1,140 men and 1,043 women, living in 398 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 419 hectares, the population density works out to about 521 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 915 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 267, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,229 people, about 56 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 67.01 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 72.27 per cent and women at 61.21 per cent.
