Where is Chamaru?

Chamaru is a village of Rajpura tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Rajpura, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Rajpura community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037059, and it covers 425 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,763 people in Chamaru: 1,487 men and 1,276 women, living in 494 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
