Daftriwala is a village of Patran tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Ghagga, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Patran community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036284, and it covers 569 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,256 people in Daftriwala: 1,183 men and 1,073 women, living in 450 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 245, about 11 per cent of the village.
