Mundkhera is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patiala, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Patiala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036519, and it covers 383 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,036 people in Mundkhera: 548 men and 488 women, living in 182 households, an average of about 5.7 people per household.
