Muradpur is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patiala, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Patiala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036500, and it covers 155 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,038 people in Muradpur: 524 men and 514 women, living in 195 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household.
