Paharipur is a village in Rajpura tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Rajpura, about 7 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ghanaur community development block and is served by the Suhron gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036937, and it covers 171 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 874 people in Paharipur: 455 men and 419 women, living in 173 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 171 hectares, the population density works out to about 511 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 921 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 90, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 49 people, about 6 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
