Rohti Khas is a village of Nabha tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nabha, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nabha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036330, and it covers 454 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,464 people in Rohti Khas: 770 men and 694 women, living in 282 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 454 hectares, the population density works out to about 322 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 901 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 147, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 300 people, about 20 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 74.49 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 80.66 per cent and women at 67.63 per cent. The census recorded 494 workers, about 34 per cent of the village. A further 38 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
