Where is Sarkara?

Sarkara is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sanaur, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunerheri community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036687, and it covers 139 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 360 people in Sarkara: 185 men and 175 women, living in 60 households, an average of about 6.0 people per household.
