Where is Atalgarh?

Atalgarh is a village of Rupnagar tehsil in Rupnagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Rupnagar, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Rupnagar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038747, and it covers 77 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 186 people in Atalgarh: 99 men and 87 women, living in 35 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household.
