The village falls in the Rupnagar community development block and is served by the Bari Gandhon gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038709, and it covers 77 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 654 people in Gandhon Kalan: 332 men and 322 women, living in 135 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household.
