The village falls in the Rupnagar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038698, and it covers 198 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 746 people in Sainfalpur: 396 men and 350 women, living in 148 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 198 hectares, the population density works out to about 377 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 884 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 84, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 316 people, about 42 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
