Bakhora Khurd is a village in Lehra tehsil of Sangrur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Lehragaga, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Lehragaga community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039901, and it covers 319 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,277 people in Bakhora Khurd: 698 men and 579 women, living in 238 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 319 hectares, the population density works out to about 400 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 830 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 129, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 498 people, about 39 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 50.7 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 56.1 per cent and women at 44.1 per cent. The census recorded 441 workers, about 35 per cent of the village. Of the 419 main workers, the largest group, 203, were cultivators on their own land, ahead of 132 other workers in trade, transport and services and 84 agricultural labourers. A further 22 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
