Where is Bharatpur?

Bharatpur is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kharar, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039140, and it covers 104 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 430 people in Bharatpur: 230 men and 200 women, living in 71 households, an average of about 6.1 people per household. Spread over its 104 hectares, the population density works out to about 413 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 870 women for every 1,000 men.
