Budhanpur is a village of SAS Nagar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dera Bassi, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Rajpura community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039247, and it covers 381 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,238 people in Budhanpur: 672 men and 566 women, living in 232 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 118, about 10 per cent of the village.
