Chuhar Majra is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kharar, about 7 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039134, and it covers 158 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 875 people in Chuhar Majra: 463 men and 412 women, living in 161 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 158 hectares, the population density works out to about 554 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 890 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 90, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 259 people, about 30 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
