Where is Sangriwala?

Sangriwala is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Naya Gaon, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038970, and it covers 121 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 575 people in Sangriwala: 305 men and 270 women, living in 88 households, an average of about 6.5 people per household. Spread over its 121 hectares, the population density works out to about 475 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 885 women for every 1,000 men.
