Jaffarpur is a village of Nawanshahr tehsil in SBS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nawansahar, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nawanshahr community development block and is served by the Jafarpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032073, and it covers 157 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 895 people in Jaffarpur: 457 men and 438 women, living in 188 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household.
