Jodhpur is a village in Tarn Taran tehsil of Tarn Taran district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Tarn Taran, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Tarn Taran community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037940, and it covers 185 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,084 people in Jodhpur: 1,101 men and 983 women, living in 372 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 185 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,126 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 893 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 256, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,091 people, about 52 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
