Where is Manakpura?

Manakpura is a village of Patti tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patti, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Patti community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038160, and it covers 317 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,624 people in Manakpura: 878 men and 746 women, living in 272 households, an average of about 6.0 people per household. Spread over its 317 hectares, the population density works out to about 512 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 850 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 254, about 16 per cent of the village.
