Where is Sandpura?

Sandpura is a village of Patti tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patti, about 17 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhikhiwind community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038082, and it covers 220 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 794 people in Sandpura: 432 men and 362 women, living in 121 households, an average of about 6.6 people per household. Spread over its 220 hectares, the population density works out to about 361 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 838 women for every 1,000 men.
