Security forces have recovered two pistols, ammunition and suspected RDX allegedly dropped by a Pakistan-origin drone near the border in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district, and arrested two men from Punjab, PTI reported on October 13, 2026.
The consignment was found on the night of October 12 in the Rawla Mandi area, close to the international border.

According to PTI and ETV Bharat, a joint team of the Border Security Force (BSF), Rajasthan's Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and Rawla police found three packets in a field near a canal at Chak 4 KNM W Tail, under the 12 KND gram panchayat. The items include suspected RDX, two pistols, four magazines, about 650 cartridges, four pairs of batteries and two remote controls. Officials said the exact nature and quantity of the explosive material is yet to be officially confirmed.
How did the operation unfold?
The ANTF received information at around 10 pm on Monday that a Pakistani drone had dropped packets near the canal, Bhaskar English reported. They were first suspected to contain narcotics, but a joint search turned up weapons and explosive material. Two suspects were apprehended at the spot.
Who has been arrested?
PTI said the two suspects are residents of Punjab's Jalandhar and Ferozepur districts. ETV Bharat reported they allegedly came to the border area to pick up and move the consignment. Their roles are being investigated and they are being questioned by intelligence agencies; they are suspects, and nothing has been proved in court.

ANTF IG Vikas Kumar said a large quantity of ammunition and explosives had been dropped with the help of drones, that two accused had been arrested, and that more details would emerge as the probe progresses. Agencies are examining who sent the material and what it was meant for, including a possible wider cross-border conspiracy. Surveillance in the border belt has been tightened.

ਭਾਸਕਰ ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਲਗਭਗ 10 ਵਜੇ ਏਐਨਟੀਐਫ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਡਰੋਨ ਨੇ ਨਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਪੈਕਟ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸਫੋਟਕ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਮਿਲੀ। ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
