The Aam Aadmi Party will release its first list of candidates for the 2027 Punjab assembly elections on Saturday, October 31, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said after a Political Affairs Committee meeting in Delhi on Friday, as reported by The Times of India, Hindustan Times and The Economic Times.
Mann said names were discussed at Arvind Kejriwal's residence and the committee would meet again on October 31 before the list is announced. Punjab Newsline reported the announcement is set for 12 noon.
Who attended the meeting?
Kejriwal, Mann and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia attended, along with Satyendar Jain and Jasmine Shah. Finance minister Harpal Cheema and state president Aman Arora joined by video conference, according to ANI as quoted by The Times of India.

Mann told reporters names were discussed on the basis of "people surveys" and feedback on MLAs' performance. "We will give tickets to leaders who are liked by people," he said, without naming anyone. He added that AAP has declared candidates ahead of other parties in the past and would do so again.
