Punjab FC edged East Bengal FC 1-0 in Kolkata on September 30 to finish top of their IFA Shield group.

Brazilian debutant Diego Raposo scored the winner in the 41st minute with a powerful strike at the East Bengal Ground. It was Punjab's second straight win in the tournament.

The result gives Punjab momentum early in the domestic season as they look to build on their recent rise in Indian football.
