Where is Chochna?

Chochna is a village in Gurdaspur tehsil of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Qadian, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kahnuwan community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028461, and it covers 118 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 290 people in Chochna: 143 men and 147 women, living in 48 households, an average of about 6.0 people per household. Spread over its 118 hectares, the population density works out to about 246 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1028 women for every 1,000 men.
