The 2011 census counted 1,520 people in Saidowal Kalan: 772 men and 748 women, living in 290 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 123 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,236 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 969 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 170, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 176 people, about 12 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
