Samaon is a village in Mansa tehsil of Mansa district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bhikhi, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,672 people in Samaon: 2,491 men and 2,181 women, living in 884 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 1,238 hectares, the population density works out to about 377 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 876 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 542, about 12 per cent of the village.
