Sheikh Bhatti is a village in Ajnala tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ajnala, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ajnala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037154, and it covers 214 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 756 people in Sheikh Bhatti: 379 men and 377 women, living in 147 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 214 hectares, the population density works out to about 353 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 995 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 118, about 16 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 346 people, about 46 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
